Advanced Swift Microwave Therapy
Swift Microwave Therapy
A fast, effective treatment for stubborn verrucae

What is Swift?
Swift is a CE-marked microwave therapy device, delivered through a small handheld probe placed directly on the verruca. It uses precisely controlled microwave energy to heat the affected tissue.
Unlike treatments that physically destroy or freeze the skin, Swift works by alerting your immune system to the human papillomavirus (HPV) causing the verruca, so your own body clears the infection. Each application takes only seconds, and most people need a short course of treatments roughly a month apart.
Suitable for
- Single or stubborn, long-standing verrucae
- Multiple or mosaic verrucae
- Verrucae that have not responded to over-the-counter treatments
- Both adults and children
Why patients choose it
No wound or dressing
There is no blister, scab or open wound afterwards, so you can put your shoes and socks straight back on and carry on with your day.
Fast treatment
Each verruca is treated in a matter of seconds. A typical appointment, including assessment, takes around 30 minutes.
Targets the cause
Rather than just removing skin, Swift stimulates an immune response against the underlying virus — which is why it can succeed where other treatments haven’t.
No downtime
Walk in, walk out. There’s no need to keep the area dry or covered, and no real restriction on activity afterwards.
Frequently asked questions
Does it hurt?
Most patients feel a brief, sharp heat sensation lasting only a couple of seconds per application — described by many as more surprising than painful. It settles almost immediately.
How many sessions will I need?
Most verrucae respond within 3–4 sessions, spaced around 4 weeks apart, though this varies with the size, number and age of the verruca. We’ll agree a plan at your first assessment.
Is Swift suitable for children?
Yes, Swift is commonly used for children as there’s no wound to manage afterwards. We’ll always assess suitability at your first visit.
How is this different from K-Laser for verrucae?
Both can be effective. K-Laser uses light energy to support healing and reduce inflammation; Swift uses microwave energy specifically to provoke an immune response to the virus. We’ll recommend whichever suits your verruca best at assessment.
